Releasing the DB4SCW award management suite!

As already stated here and finally here, I created two pieces of software.

These pieces, namely Hamawardz and Coordinatorr, provide utility for those wanting to run an award program in amateur radio.

Now it is finally time: Both webapps are finally open-source.

You can find them on their respective github pages:

  • Hamawardz, a software for self service award checking and downloading
  • Coordinatorr, a software to plan and coordinate usage of event callsigns by multiple operators and prevent usage collisions

Both are now open source and ready to be downloaded and used by the amateur radio community. Expect frequent updates in the first month after release. One of the first users might be these fine OMs and YLs here.

You can find the full documentation, including system requirements, features and installation tutorial on hamawardz.de.

If you like to have a look inside the software to find out if they are what you are looking for, check out our demos:

Hamawardz: Username: administrator, Password: welcome#01
If you want to try the award checking process, use "DL0LOL" as callsign for the award applicant.
Coordinatorr: Admin Secret (see documentation): simsalabim
Use "DL0LOL" as operator callsign for all functions.

Attention: The database for each of those demo systems will be reset each day at 00:00 UTC.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me over at dev@db4scw.de.

Have fun in the hobby and using hamawardz and coordinatorr!
